How to Throw the Perfect Kids' Party in Calabasas
We're a little biased, but Calabasas might be the easiest place in Los Angeles to throw a great kids' party. Bigger backyards, a close-knit community, and a mild climate most of the year make it easy to plan an outdoor celebration — and since we're headquartered here, it's also where we've done the most parties, hands down.
Start With the Backyard You've Got
Calabasas lots tend to run larger than in the flats of LA, which means there's usually room for both a bounce house and a furniture setup without things feeling cramped. Before booking, measure your intended setup area and note anything nearby that matters for delivery — gate codes, sloped yards, sprinkler heads, or a pool you'll want clearance from. A flat, level space with a dedicated 15-amp outlet nearby is really all a bounce house needs.
Pick a Bounce House That Matches the Vibe
Calabasas parties tend to lean a little more polished than the classic primary-colored inflatable — which is exactly why we build our collection around modern neutral and pastel tones instead. Pair a full-size bounce house with a slide for older kids, or a mini for a first or second birthday where the crowd is smaller.
Round Out the Setup With Little Calabasas® Furniture
A bounce house handles the entertainment; the right table setup makes the party photograph well and gives parents somewhere to sit. Our rattan kids' tables and chairs work well for a dessert table or a casual dining setup, while our pine adult dining furniture with café or cane-back chairs gives the grown-ups their own spot.
Local Favorites Worth Knowing
We're not an event planning company ourselves, but after years in this community we're happy to point you toward people we trust: for balloon installations, we recommend Feather Fox Designs and Lovely Garlands; for full event planning and production, Hudson Productions and Brendaco are both excellent. We've also delivered to plenty of celebrations at Calabasas Country Club, so if that's your venue, we already know the layout.
Timing and Weather
Calabasas stays warm well into fall, which is part of why outdoor parties work almost year-round here — just keep an eye on Santa Ana wind advisories in the fall, since high winds can affect whether a bounce house can safely be set up that day. Spring and early summer weekends book up fastest, so if you have a date in mind, request your reservation as early as you can.
What's Included When You Book With Us
Every bounce house rental includes delivery, professional setup and pickup, a blower, a coordinating rug and a safety rules sign — and because Calabasas is in our complimentary standard delivery zone, there's no added travel cost. The rental minimum is $400.
